HOW IT'S MADE

Topsy Farms started as a hippie commune on Amherst Island in the 1970s. From there, it gradually turned into a working farm, and they now have well over 1,000 sheep that grow their lovely wool for them. All of Topsy's yarns are made completely from their own sheepswool, and milled in PEI. By using their yarns, you're supporting Canadian wool, Canadian farmers, Canadian mills, Canadian textiles. PROJECT IDEAS

This yarn blooms really well during blocking, which makes it lofty and perfect for texture or colourwork projects. The single ply gives your finished fabric a lovely "lived-in" look with a softer stitch definition. Anything you make with this yarn will be long-lasting and pill-resistant, and soften more and more over time.

We think these patterns would look great in this yarn: Saskie Sweater, Nowaki Shawl, Paul Klee Sweater. Poet Sweater, Kitten Catch Mittens, or browse through some of our favourite fingering-weight projects!
