These carders are the same ones that come in Ashford's Intro to Spinning Kit. They're smaller, lightweight carders with comfortable round handles. Use these carders as a pair to card and prepare your fibres in the traditional way, producing small rolags for spinning.
These carders are standard 72pt, great for most fibres.

HOW IT'S MADE
Ashford was founded in 1934 by Walter Ashford in Christchurch, New Zealand. Today, it is run by Walter's grandson James Ashford and his husband Dave. The Ashford factory is now located outside of Christchurch, and makes high quality spinning and weaving tools from fine beech hardwood, as well as combed fibre including mulesing-free NZ Corriedale and Merino.
