Tvinni | Isager
- HOW IT'S MADE
- PROJECT IDEAS
Tvinni is a beautifully lofty and fine yarn made from the very first cut of lambswool. Because it's a woolen spun yarn, it "blooms" once washed, making it a wonderful choice for colourwork and fair isle knitting. In a versatile fingering weight, you can use Tvinni on it's own, or held with another yarn like a mohair. This yarn is also very durable, and holds all the benefits one might find in a 100% wool yarn.
Wool is temperature regulating, moisture and sweat wicking, water and wind resistant, and dirt repellant. It's a hearty fibre that will keep you warm and last a lifetime!

Tvinni was developed by Marianne Isager together with the Danish spinning mill, Skive Uldspinderi. It consists of the finest virgin wool, which is the first cut of lambswool. The long and fine fibres make it a very durable yarn. It is spun and dyed in Denmark.
Tvinni is the perfect choice for knitting anything using the fair isle or stranded colourwork technique. Once you wash and block this yarn, it will "bloom" and fill out all those pesky little spaces between the different colours - resulting in a beautifully even piece of knitting. Sweaters, vests, mitts, and socks would all be incredible in this yarn.
