A sock yarn without nylon! It's a dream come true!
Finch is our official synthetic-free sock yarn. It's fingering weight, 100% American grown wool, and it's has so much spring and bounce you'd think it was elasticated. Nylon is normally added to sock yarns for extra strength, but the tight twist of Finch makes it more hardwearing while still being nylon-free. If you love knitting socks but you've been searching for an all-natural option, look no further. Finch has your back.

Finch is made from Territory Wool, which comes from sheep west of the Mississippi in Washington and the Rocky Mountain states. It is completely sourced, processed, spun, dyed, and packaged in the USA. Quince & Co produces all their yarns with environmental impact and sustainability in mind. Finch isn't only good for socks - it's a beautiful and versatile yarn all on its own. Because it's a fingering weight, smaller projects like mittens, scarves, and hats would be perfect. It's also great for anything that might need a little extra stretch, like a formfitting garment. You can also hold two strands of it together for a thicker weight, or pair it with a mohair to add a fuzzy halo to your project!
