- HOW IT'S MADE
- PROJECT IDEAS
Aran Tweed is our first aran yarn and out first tweed offering! It's a hearty and rugged yarn perfect for sweaters, cardigans, and vests. The single ply texture gives this yarn and beautiful "lived-in" look once knitted up, and the tweed flecks will speckle your garment with hints of brighter colours.
Wool is temperature regulating, moisture and sweat wicking, water and wind resistant, and dirt repellant. It's a hearty fibre that will keep you warm and last a lifetime!

Aran Tweed is spun and dyed in Ireland. Isager holds high standards for both animal welfare, sustainability, and environmental impact. Their yarns come from farms where mulesing is not practiced, and their dye and chemical usage adhere to Denmark and Europe's strict requirements regarding toxic chemicals, dyes, and waste.
Aran Tweed is a great yarn for warm layering garments like cozy sweaters, cardigans, or vests. If you find you're not sensitive to wool at all, you can also make some beautiful scarves or hats with this yarn. You can also add in a mohair or alpaca to soften the wool, for garments worn right on the skin.
